Verificador de fotos do passaporte do República Dominicana

If you're applying for a Dominican Republic passport, check the photo requirements before submitting. Our Dominican Republic Passport Photo Checker compares your image with the listed dimensions and background guidance in your browser. Preview the result for free; the issuing authority makes the final decision.

The Dominican Republic uses 35×45 mm for passports, issued by the Dirección General de Pasaportes. Photos must have a white background and neutral expression. For US visa applications, Dominicans need the 51×51 mm square format. The country requires that photos be taken within 6 months of application. That detail matters — most consumer photo apps still ship with generic templates that ignore these specifics. Upload your image above and we'll measure dimensions, sample the background, run face detection, and tell you exactly what to fix before you submit.

Photo checking happens locally in your browser. Sharing or saving a result is a separate action you choose.

Common Dominican Republic passport rejection reasons

Dominican Republic-specific: Ordering an off-spec size — the international 35×45 mm default is not 35×45 mm used by Dominican Republic, and studios often print the wrong size unless the exact dimensions are stated in millimetres.
Dominican Republic-specific: Photos taken with a warm-white desk lamp that shifts skin tone away from the reference — Latin American passport offices frequently flag colour cast at the enrolment counter.
Dominican Republic-specific: Uploading a photo whose background reads as off-white or cream once compressed — always verify the RGB values before submitting.
Dominican Republic-specific: Submitting a photo older than 6 months even if you look the same — Dominican Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería / Ministério das Relações Exteriores) — Passport Division matches EXIF dates against the application date when available.

How to pass the checker

Crop precisely to 35×45 mm
Use our free image cropper to pull the exact 35:45 ratio. Position your eyes near the upper third of the frame and leave roughly 5 mm of headroom above the hair — the proportions Dominican Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería / Ministério das Relações Exteriores) — Passport Division expects.

If our checker flags the background, compare it with the selected specification (white). The background remover can help prepare another preview; confirm that edited photos are accepted by the authority.

Verifique a cobertura facial com o verificador
Re-upload the corrected photo and compare the framing with the selected application's guidance. Requirements for head position can vary by application.
