Comprobador de fotografías de pasaportes de Palaos

If you're applying for a Palau passport, check the photo requirements before submitting. Our Palau Passport Photo Checker compares your image with the listed dimensions and background guidance in your browser. Preview the result for free; the issuing authority makes the final decision.

Palau uses 51×51 mm passport photos matching the US format, as a Compact of Free Association state. That detail matters — most consumer photo apps still ship with generic templates that ignore these specifics. Upload your image above and we'll measure dimensions, sample the background, run face detection, and tell you exactly what to fix before you submit.

Photo checking happens locally in your browser. Sharing or saving a result is a separate action you choose.

Common Palau passport rejection reasons

Palau-specific: Ordering an off-spec size — the international 35×45 mm default is not 51×51 mm used by Palau, and studios often print the wrong size unless the exact dimensions are stated in millimetres.
Palau-specific: Studio prints on textured pearl paper — the Pacific-region scanners are calibrated for smooth matte or glossy and read texture as background noise.
Palau-specific: Uploading a photo whose background reads as off-white or cream once compressed — always verify the RGB values before submitting.
Palau-specific: Submitting a photo older than 6 months even if you look the same — Palau Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade — Passport Office matches EXIF dates against the application date when available.

How to pass the checker

Crop precisely to 51×51 mm
Use our free image cropper to pull the exact 51:51 ratio. Position your eyes near the upper third of the frame and leave roughly 5 mm of headroom above the hair — the proportions Palau Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade — Passport Office expects.

If our checker flags the background, compare it with the selected specification (white). The background remover can help prepare another preview; confirm that edited photos are accepted by the authority.

Verificar la cobertura de la cara con el corrector.
Re-upload the corrected photo and compare the framing with the selected application's guidance. Requirements for head position can vary by application.

Preguntas frecuentes

Where do I apply for a passport in Palau?
Palau nationals apply through Palau Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade — Passport Office at the nearest passport office. Most steps are completed online through the government identity portal. Booking an appointment online first is standard practice and rarely optional.

Is a white background required in Palau passport photos?
Yes. Palau Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade — Passport Office requires a white background at the 51×51 mm print size (square format). Substituting another colour or an off-white tone triggers rejection at the biometric pre-check even when the framing and lighting are otherwise correct.

What is the Palau passport photo size in pixels?
602×602 pixels at 300 DPI. At 300 DPI that maps to the physical 51×51 mm print. If the online portal specifies a different pixel target, resize from a 300 DPI master file rather than re-cropping a smaller original.

¿Qué tan preciso es este verificador de fotografías de pasaportes de los Palaos?
Our checker reviews dimensions, aspect ratio, background, sharpness and face positioning with on-device detection where available. It cannot duplicate Palau Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade — Passport Office's review or guarantee acceptance. Always check the official instructions for your application.
