الأسباب الخمسة الشائعة: 1. File size above the cap. Most government and university forms cap between 50 KB and 2 MB. A modern phone photo is 3–8 MB. 2. Wrong format. Many portals accept JPG and PDF only. HEIC from an iPhone and WebP from a web download are both rejected, sometimes silently. 3. Pixel dimensions outside the allowed range. Some forms enforce a minimum *and* a maximum; a 4000-pixel-wide scan can fail for being too large. 4. Colour profile. CMYK JPEGs, produced by some scanning software, are rejected by uploaders expecting sRGB. 5. Filename characters. Spaces, accents and non-Latin characters break older upload handlers. Use letters, numbers, hyphens.
إصلاح قابل للتكرار: 1. Convert to JPG if the file is HEIC, WebP or PNG-of-a-photo. 2. Resize so the longest edge is between 1000 and 2000 pixels unless the form states otherwise — this alone usually clears the size cap. 3. Compress to just under the stated limit, aiming for about 80% of it so a re-encode on their side doesn't push you over. 4. Rename to something plain, such as "passport-photo.jpg".
Scanned documents behave differently from photos. A scan of text compresses badly as JPEG and looks smeared. Scan or export text documents as PDF, or as grayscale JPEG at quality 70 — grayscale alone cuts the size by roughly a third with no readability cost.
